The aims of the research are to know that Think-pair-share can influence the students to reduce their anxiety in speaking English in teaching speaking of the tenth-grade students of SMA Muhammadiyah Wonosobo.The research statement is explained that think pair share has an effect on reducing students‘ speaking anxiety in learning English. And the purpose of this research is to find out whether think pair share have an effect on reducing students‘ speaking anxiety in learning English. The researcher use Classroom Action Research Design, which consist two cycles. The participants are students from SMA Muhammadiyah tenth grade and this research was conduct by seventh-semester students of the English education research program for one month. The problem in this research is that students experience anxiety to speak English in class. To answer this question or problem, the writer conduct interviews, Questionnaires and treatment to find out if there was a cause for the anxiety when in speaking english. The Questionnaire is use to obtain data about this research. The use of think pair share from this research can reduce students‘speaking anxiety. This research shows the following results: 1) There are three stages of teaching and learning activities in reducing students‘ anxiety in speaking English: Pre-Treatment with the main points of observation that many students are nervous, panic when asked to speak English, and points from the interviews students say afraid, very panicked about speaking English, cycle one student from the results of observations and interviews students feel that it is still difficult for things to be conveyed in speaking English if you don‘t use the media in the think pair share method, for the second cycle from the results of observations and interviews using the media and experiencing increasing the level of confidence of students in speaking English with the addition of flashcards. 2) From the results of the pre-questionnaire to the post-questionnaire there was a decrease in the average anxiety of students in class X.11, namely the initial results with an average of 103.80 to 65.80. 3) The students get information about their anxiety problem to speak English in class. Teachers are able to develop fun learning activities and encourage students to be confident. Therefore, in this research, researchers will use the think pair share method to reduce students‘ speaking anxiety at SMA Muhammadiyah Wonosobo.
